Fabio Carvalho took his goal tally to seven in 14 games on Saturday when he scored a terrific brace in a blistering first half to help Hull City to a commanding 3-1 win at Cardiff City, to keep the Tigers firmly in the Championship's play-off race with just six games to go.
That was his third goal in two games after netting the equaliser in the defeat at Leeds United on Monday and continues his fine form following his January move from Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool, and he'll hope to add to that tally this evening in another crunch game at home to rivals Middlesbrough.
Carvalho says he's loving being involved in Liam Rosenior's first team, and the responsibility and freedom he's been given by a manager who has ultimate faith, and confidence, in the 21-year-old Portuguese that he will deliver, and so far, he most certainly has.
"Yes, I'm enjoying it," Carvalho told Hull Live after his brace in South Wales. "I'm loving it, every day that I come in, I'm excited to train and I'm excited to learn from the players and especially the gaffer and the rest of the coaching staff who've helped me so much, and, yes, I'm thankful to be here. I'm thankful, thankful for them, I'm just going to keep working and see where it gets us."
Carvalho had spoken after his arrival about wanting to fall in love with football again, and that's exactly what's happened. "One hundred per cent," he said. "It's given me a platform to show everyone what I'm capable of and to show myself as well, which is the most important thing.
"I don't care what people say or what people think, because people are always gonna chat regardless, but it's given me a platform to believe in myself again and that's why I needed it. That's what I'm doing. Thanks to God that I'm here. I've got this opportunity, and that's what matters.

Rosenior's made no secret of his hope that he's improved the youngster as a player after seeing his progress stall somewhat after a disappointing loan spell with German outfit RB Leipzig in the first half of the season, and Carvalho says he has, and will forever be grateful for the opportunity City have given him, wherever his career takes him next.
"Yes (I've improved under Rosenior), but most importantly, I think I've also improved, I've matured a lot off the pitch which is important as well, because it helps me perform well on the pitch. I've been able to go to him for advice, football and non-football related and that's what you want from a manager.
"That's what you want when you feel comfortable, being able to speak to a manager who's kind of like a father figure, although he's young, he's got a lot of experience and he's helped me both on and off the pitch, and I can't thank him enough."
