Ferran Jutgla of FC Barcelona B looks on during the Primera RFEF Group 2 match between Atletico Baleares and FC Barcelona B at Estadio Balear on April 17, 2022 in Mallorca, Spain.

Ferran Jutgla has left FC Barcelona to join Belgian outfit Club Brugge, the Catalan giants have confirmed via their official media channels.

The 23-year-old forward had signed for the Blaugrana only last summer, arriving on a free transfer from local rivals Espanyol. He enjoyed an impressive campaign with Barça’s B team, finishing as the top scorer, bagging 19 goals in 32 matches, while also setting up six more.

Jutgla also got a brief run in the Barcelona senior setup towards the end of 2021. The versatile forward made a decent impact under Xavi’s tutelage, scoring twice in eight matches.

The 23-year-old was out of contract in the summer, but the Blaugrana decided to extend the deal for another year to protect his transfer value.

While there had been murmurs of a possible full-time promotion up to the senior team at Camp Nou, Barça have instead decided to cash in on Jutgla, with the Spaniard now set to join Belgian outfit Club Brugge.

As per the terms of the deal, Barcelona will stand to pocket a fee of around €5 million from Jutgla’s departure. The Blaugrana will also be entitled to a €10% of any fee from the future sale of the former Espanyol forward.

Jutgla has signed a four-year deal with Brugge, committing his future to the club until 2026.
