West Ham could reportedly be set to make a shock offer for Leeds winger Raphinha following his impressive displays this season.

The 25-year-old has been Leeds' star performer this season netting eight goals and providing two assists in 20 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa's side.

The Brazilian winger's performances has led to him being linked with top sides across Europe including Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

David Moyes is keen to bring in more attacking talent this month to help the Hammers in their push for a top-four finish.

He is said to have made Raphinha a 'priority signing' and is trying to seal the transfer before Monday's deadline with the backing of co-owner David Sullivan.

As reported by the Mirror, West Ham could be set to table a shock bid for the Leeds star.

The winger is under contract at Marcelo Bielsa's side until 2024 and Leeds are keen to sign him to a new deal and would be willing to offer him a pay-rise in order to do so.

It would likely be tough to sign Raphinha by transfer deadline day but one advantage they would have is the attraction of playing in Europe - with the Hammers still in the Europa League.

Raphinha is currently away on international duty with Brazil and started for them during Thursday's 1-1 draw with Ecuador.

West Ham have been linked with a host of players during the January transfer window as they look to boost their attack by deadline day.

They have been linked with 19-year-old Reims forward Hugo Ekitike who was wanted by Newcastle earlier in the window.

Sky Sports reported that it would take a bid of £25m to convince the Ligue 1 side to sell.

The Hammers are also said to have considered Bayer Leverkusen frontman Patrik Schick.
