Arsenal reportedly target Bayern Munich teenager Angelo Stiller

Arsenal are targeting a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller, according to reports in Germany. The 19-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Bayern but he has been one of their standout performers for the club’s reserve team.

Stiller, who plays as a defensive midfielder, has scored three goals and registered 10 assists for Bayern at youth level this season.

The Germany Under-18 international was taken on Bayern’s pre-season tour last summer and featured for 45 minutes in a friendly against Arsenal in California.

According to Bild, Arsenal now have a ‘specific interest’ in signing Stiller but the Gunners face competition from several other clubs in the Bundesliga.

Stiller’s current contract with Bayern expires next year, which means he could potentially leave for a cut-price fee.

Bild report that Bayern could allow Stiller to leave this summer but can insist on a buy-back clause. However, it’s understood that the midfielder is keen to stay at Bayern and wants to make his breakthrough into the first-team squad.
