But, Everton will face Arsenal on september 23 in the Premier League at emirate stadium, Chelsea also wanted their Carabao Cup tie on the same date.

Report revealed that a compromise has now been reached, and Everton will host Southampton the following week on Tuesday, October 2. That is the same night as Champions League games, but with UEFA having stop rules of not allowing domestic fixtures to take place on scheduled European nights, the switch has been made possible.

This weekend, Chelsea will host Cardiff City and will prepare to build on their opening four match victories to the season under former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri.
