French defender Jean-Clair Todibo has been linked with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Manchester United have been quite indecisive in their approach and they could end up missing out on the defender, as per Alan Nixon. Spurs need to sign a central defender as well and Todibo would help them improve at the back.
Apart from his qualities as a defender, he is very impressive with his distribution from the back and his arrival would help Tottenham build from the back. The 24-year-old will look to join a big club in the future and a move to Tottenham or Manchester United would be ideal for him.
Although the North London club have recently signed Radu Dragusin, they are keen on improving the squad further. It remains to be seen whether they can beat Manchester United and secure the signature of the French defender.
Meanwhile, Manchester United need defensive quality as well. They have looked quite underwhelming at the back in recent months, and they will have to improve defensively if they want to win trophies.
Play like Raphael, Varane and Harry Maguire have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford and Jonny Evans will be a free agent. Manchester United might need to sign more than just one central defender and it remains to be seen whether they can secure the services of the Frenchman.
Todibo is good enough to play for both clubs, and whoever ends up signing him will have a quality player on their hands.
Manchester United must look to move quickly if they want to sign the player at the end of the season. similarly, it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can come forward with an official proposal to sign the defender and beat Manchester United to his signature.
