Celtic star Luis Palma has been medically discharged by the club’s medical staff and will be in the squad for the match against Philippe Clement’s Rangers this weekend.
That’s according to La Prensa and Diez in Honduras, who both say that the forward will be in Brendan Rodgers’ squad as they take on Rangers at Ibrox.
Palma has been out of action for over a month after picking up a knock in training ahead of the international break, which ultimately saw him miss out for his country as a result.
He underwent an MRI scan ahead of that break which confirmed he would be out of four weeks and has been absent for Celtic ever since.
Reports in Scotland this week have claimed he was ahead of schedule in his recovery, though, and could be in the squad to face Rangers this weekend as a result.
La Prensa and Diez go one step further, though, both reporting that they have learned that the Honduran has been medically discharged by Celtic’s medical department and ‘will return’ to the Celtic squad ahead of their trip to Ibrox to face old rivals Rangers.
Whether the Honduran will be in the starting 11 is up for debate but he’s back in training and ready to make his mark as Celtic look to hold off Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
