Rafael Leao: “I aim to win the Champions League with Milan”

Rafael Leao of AC Milan scores their sides first goal during the Serie A TIM match between FC Internazionale and AC Milan at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on September 16, 2023 in Milan, Italy.

Rafael Leao has come out with some ambitious words that should delight Milan fans after his recent match-winning goal against Verona.

As reported by Portugal GQ magazine (via Sky Italia), Leão said: “I’m sure Milan will soon return to win the Champions League, that’s our goal. I speak for myself. I am young, I am a player who wants to win great things. The Champions League I think is every player’s dream. I aim for it. We are working for this.”

The Portuguese winger also spoke about Saudi Arabia, and mentioned that he has no thoughts about going there any time soon. He said that he still has a lot to do in football, and that the money being offered would do little to entice him over the chance to play Champions League football.

The 24 year old recently committed his future to Milan and fans can rest assured that he is fully focused on achieving big things. Milan have started the season well with 12 points from a possible 15 and came back with an important win this weekend after the embarrassment against Inter.

The winger himself has started the season nicely, with three goals and an assist from the five games that he has started. He did face some criticism after the performance against Newcastle United but he recovered in fine form this past weekend.
