Injury concern for Milan’s Theo Hernandez

Theo Hernandez of France looks dejected during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group D match between France and Denmark at Stadium 974 on November 26, 2022 in Doha, Qatar.

Milan left-back Theo Hernandez has a slight ankle injury and missed training with France today at the World Cup in Qatar.

The defender has a knock to his ankle and was not present at the training ground today, report sources from the Bleus camp.

However, the coaching and medical staff are confident Theo Hernandez will be back in action tomorrow.

France qualified for the Round of 16, where they will face Poland on Sunday afternoon at 15.00 GMT.

Theo Hernandez was originally only a benchwarmer, despite his excellent performances for Milan in Serie A and the Champions League.

He was promoted to the first team after a serious knee injury ruled his brother Lucas Hernandez out in the opening game against Australia.

The 25-year-old has provided two assists in two games and was rested for the 1-0 defeat to Tunisia, at which point qualification had already been secured for his team.
