Dortmund Emerge in Race for Inter and Juventus Target

Ramy Bensebaini of Borussia Moenchengladbach celebrates after scoring his team's second goal during the Bundesliga match between Borussia Moenchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund at Borussia-Park on November 11, 2022 in Moenchengladbach, Germany.

Inter and Juventus were reportedly on the trail of Ramy Bensebaini in previous months, but Borussia Dortmund are currently in the lead to capture him on a Bosman move.

According to Sky Sport Deutschland, the wing-back is close to coming to terms with Die Schwarzgelben. Borussia Moenchengladbach don’t plan to counter because he’s been hampered by injuries in the last two years. He could ink a pre-contract as soon as January.

His agent Jaspar Singh Gill, addressed the buzz to Sport1, suggesting that Juventus and Inter aren’t totally out of the Bensebaini race yet.

“I can confirm that there have been some conversations with Borussia Dortmund. However, that has been the case with other international clubs too. We haven’t struck a deal with anybody. Ramy hasn’t made his final decision yet. Many teams are interested and he would be able to adapt to any situation.”

As per Calciomercato, Borussia Dortmund are pushing to onboard the Algerian international because they anticipate losing Raphael Guerreiro in the same fashion. Conversely, the Bianconeri are after the Portuguese star and Alejandro Grimaldo in the same role. They could lean more on free-agent acquisitions in the future.
