Barcelona smash six goals past Inter Miami in pre-season friendly

Raphinha #22 (L) of FC Barcelona celebrates with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang #17 after scoring their second goal against Inter Miami CF during the first half of a preseason friendly at DRV PNK Stadium on July 19, 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Barcelona new boy Raphinha made it a debut to remember on Tuesday as he scored and bagged two assists in a 6-0 drubbing of Inter Miami, while Romeo Beckham and Harvey Neville made cameo appearances in friendly encounter.

It was the 25-year-old Brazilian forward who led Xavi's side to an easy win against the MLS club that is owned by England icon David Beckham.

While it was a debut to remember for Raphinha, it became an eye-opening experience for the sons of the two former Manchester United stars, with Harvey Neville getting a full half against the Catalan giants while Romeo Beckham only got four minutes to make a mark.

Watching on from the stands was Barcelona's newest signing Robert Lewandowski, who completed his £42.5million move from Bayern Munich last week.

The Polish striker watched his new team-mates in action as they run riot in Fort Lauderdale but one man who wasn't able to watch the game in person was manager Xavi.

The Barcelona boss is reportedly still unable to solve his visa problems that have stopped him from gaining entry to the United States.

But while there will be frustrations over his visa issues, he'll be happy with how his team dispatched the MLS side, which Inter Miami boss Phil Neville labelled the friendly as the biggest game in their history beforehand.
