Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Everton
forward Richarlison this summer, according to reports.
As per The Athletic, the Lilywhites have identified the Brazilian
as a target as they look to bolster their offensive ranks.
Richarlison, 25, was crucial to Everton’s late
survival push and has been linked with a number of clubs in recent weeks,
including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
According to the report, though, Spurs are ready to
make an offer for the Brazil international, but only at what they deem to be
the right price.
A fee of £51 million had been widely reported as the
highest amount that Spurs would be willing to pay, although Everton are
reportedly holding out for more.
It is thought, though, that the Toffees will fail to
persuade Spurs to increase their offer beyond that amount, giving those in
charge at Goodison Park plenty to think about.
The Brazilian scored 11 goals across all
competitions this season, taking his tally for Everton to 53 and his Premier
League total to 48 from 173 matches for Watford and the Toffees.
Everton boss Frank Lampard will undoubtedly be keen
to keep the striker, although he will enter into the final two years of his
Goodison Park deal this summer and they may therefore be tempted to cash in on
him for a premium price, rather than losing him for free when his contract
expires.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte, meanwhile, is intent on
bolstering his attacking options, with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane providing
the vast majority of his side’s goals over the past few seasons.
Spurs have already added Fraser Forster and Ivan
Perisic to their squad ahead of a campaign that will include Champions League
football next term, and there is likely to be more new arrivals before the
season gets underway.
