Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to sign another one-year contract renewal with Milan, tying him to the club until he’s 41.

The 40-year-old Swedish veteran was an important part of Stefano Pioli’s Scudetto winning side this season, netting eight goals in 23 appearances and being an experienced winner in the dressing room, helping the younger squad keep focused as things came down to the wire with rivals Inter.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ibrahimovic is now ready to sign a one-year contract renewal with Milan. The Swedish forward’s contract will be made up of a fixed part with symbolic figures and lucrative add-ons linked to both personal and term objectives.

Ibrahimovic’s recent knee operation will keep him out of action until January at the earliest, but he’s still an important figure to have in the dressing room. The 40-year-old will meet with the Rossoneri’s directors next week to tie things up.
