Mario Pasalic of Atalanta scores his third goal to give the side a 4-0 lead during the Serie A match between Atalanta BC and Venezia FC at Gewiss Stadium on November 30, 2021 in Bergamo, Italy.

Mario Pasalic has scored a hat-trick to help Atalanta rout Venezia 4-0 on Tuesday and move them up to joint-third in Serie A.

Croatian midfielder Pasalic netted his first two goals in the opening 12 minutes and added the other in the 67th, shortly after Teun Koopmeiners had scored the home team's third.

Atalanta move level on points with Inter Milan, four points behind leaders Napoli and one adrift of second-placed AC Milan. Venezia remained in 16th, five points above the relegation zone.

In the late game, Juventus bounced back from their weekend home defeat to Atalanta to see off last-placed Salernitana.

Paulo Dybala of Juventus scores 0-1 goal during the Serie A match between US Salernitana v Juventus at Stadio Arechi on November 30, 2021 in Salerno, Italy.

Paulo Dybala's low left-foot drive on 21 minutes and a 70th-minute tap-in from substitute Alvaro Morata was enough to move the Bianconeri up to seventh.

In Bergamo, Atalanta got off to a fast start and took the lead in the seventh minute when Josip Ilicic threaded a pass through to Pasalic, who slotted the ball into the bottom right corner. Pasalic doubled his tally five minutes later following a one-two with Luis Muriel.

Dutch midfielder Koopmeiners extended Atalanta's lead in the 57th when he drilled the ball into the bottom right corner before Pasalic completed his hat-trick 10 minutes later, gathering the ball with his back to goal before shooting into the back of the net.

Elsewhere, Dusan Vlahovic scored his seventh goal in five matches to lead Fiorentina to a come-from-behind 3-1 home win over Sampdoria and Hellas Verona drew 0-0 with 19th-placed Cagliari.
