A late goal from on-loan player Marko Pjaca was enough to earn Torino a 1-0 win at Sassuolo in Serie A.
Friday' victory gave Torino their second consecutive win after opening the season with two straight losses.
Torino now have six points and are three points behind Italian league leaders Roma, who are coached by Jose Mourinho, AC Milan and Napoli after all clubs made a perfect start to the season.
Pjaca's goal came with a curled shot that appeared to surprise Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli, that kept the hosts on four points.
This is the fifth team the Juventus-owned player has played for in five seasons.
Torino hit the woodwork twice in the first half while Sassuolo struck the post once.
Meanwhile, prosecutors have opened an investigation into alleged racist chants by Lazio supporters directed at AC Milan midfielders Tiemoue Bakayoko and Franck Kessie last weekend, the Italian Football Federation has confirmed.
Video footage of the incident, which is alleged to have taken place during Milan's 2-0 Serie A win over Lazio at San Siro, is being examined after Milan filed a complaint.
"To some Lazio fans and their racist cries towards me and my brother @franckkessie. We are strong and proud of our skin colour. I have all my confidence in our club to identify them," Bakayoko wrote on Instagram.
Milan, who lost 3-2 to Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday, travel to Juventus on Sunday.
