Barcelona and Pedri have reportedly come to an agreement over a new five-year deal that will keep the youngster at the Camp Nou until 2026.

According to RAC1, the Catalan giants have moved to secure the long-term future of the Spain international despite the club’s financial difficulties.

Pedri only joined Barcelona in 2020 but has already become a key player for club and country and a regular fixture in midfield.

The teenager is currently taking a well-earned holiday after featuring over 70 times in his debut campaign which included playing at Euro 2020 and at the Tokyo Olympics. IMG-20210827-064803-334

Pedri will miss Sunday’s visit from Getafe in La Liga and has also been rested by Spain coach Luis Enrique for September’s World Cup qualifiers.

The teenager will be back after the international break when Barca resume their La Liga campaign against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium and will surely go straight back into the starting XI.
