Robert Lewandowski receives another prestigious award

The captain of the Polish national team and the Bayern Munich striker on Sunday received the Globe Soccer Award for the best footballer of 2020. The names of the winners in various categories were announced at the gala event in Dubai. The plebiscite has been organized since 2010 by the European Union of Footballers' Agents (EFAA) and the European Union of Football Clubs (ECA). The winners in each category were decided by the votes of the fans and the jury. 

"This trophy also means a lot to me," said Lewandowski, who was present at the gala, right after receiving the statuette.

"Thank you to my teammates, coaches, and my family who have been very patient with me. Thank you also to my dad who looks down on me. Dreams come true. The stands. Thank you all for voting for me," he said.

The competitors of the Pole were Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus Turin and Argentinian Lionel Messi from Barcelona.
