Cavani scores late winner as Man United come from two goals down to beat Southampton

Edinson Cavani of Manchester United scores their team's third goal during the Premier League match between Southampton and Manchester United at St Mary's Stadium on November 29, 2020 in Southampton, England.

Edinson Cavani inspired a second-half comeback for Manchester United with an injury-time winner in a 3-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday.

The Red Devils were 2-0 down at the break thanks to goals from Jan Bednarek and James Ward-Prowse.

It saw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer introduce Cavani for the second-half at the expense of Mason Greenwood.

The 33-year-old justified his manager’s decision by assisting Bruno Fernandes, who halved the deficit, before heading his side on level terms in the 74th minute.

And he was not done there as he scored another header when connecting with Marcus Rashford’s cross in the second minute of stoppage time.
