Casemiro: “We’ve started at full speed”

Carlos H. Casemiro of Real Madrid controls the ball during the Liga match between Real Madrid CF and Deportivo Alaves at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on July 10, 2020 in Madrid, Spain.

The start of the 2020-2021 La Liga season is right around the corner, with Real Madrid’s season opener scheduled for September 20th against Real Sociedad.

Los Blancos returned to training this past Monday and Casemiro was the first player to address the media and share his thoughts about what’s to come.

“We’ve started at full speed, doing the different exercises in training. We’re already thinking about our first game in La Liga, because we want to start on the right foot.

Everyone is working well, the atmosphere is good and we’re all excited about working again, so the first days are very important,” said Casemiro.

While the club has officially started preparing for that first game, Los Blancos are still missing some players on national duty.

That’s why it will be crucial for Madrid to rely on those players who are getting the chance to train at Valdebebas.

Casemiro is one of them and appears ready to pick it up from where he left off, given that his performances during the 2019-2020 season were crucial for the team.
