Real Madrid Striker Gains Heavy Interest From AS Monaco

Luka Jovic of Real Madrid celebrates his team's fourth goal 1:4 with Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid during the Liga match between CA Osasuna and Real Madrid CF at El Sadar Stadium on February 09, 2020 in Pamplona, Spain.

In their search for another Champions League title, Real Madrid remains confident with the roster that they have. With players constantly stepping up for Zinedine Zidane, one player that has gained interest from other clubs is striker Luka Jovic.

It has been reported that AS Monaco has been eyeing Jovic to be part of their team, per Fansided’s The Real Champs. Despite playing only second fiddle to Karim Benzema, Jovic has been one of the more reliable center-forwards for Real Madrid.

In the latest La Liga season, Jovic suited up for 17 games and was able to tally two goals and an assist. One of the key reasons why Jovic wasn’t able to show more of his skills was a foot injury that sidelined him for a considerable length. But with his conditioning back, the 22-year-old remains as one of the best finishers for Los Blancos.

With constant key passes and Jovic’s tendency to play the ball off the ground, he proves to be a reliable asset for any club to have. As the Serbian star is booming with potential, AS Monaco’s manager Niko Kovac wants Jovic to suit up for his club.

It would entail at least an estimated more than 50 million Euros for Monaco to pull a deal if they want to follow through with their pursuit for Jovic. For now, the two-time Serbian Champion is set to stay for Zidane’s lineup.

The manner of how key players have stepped up for Zidane has helped the veteran manager claim his 11th trophy for the club in the recently concluded La Liga tournament.

The cerebral approach of Zidane serves as an edge for Real Madrid as he knows exactly how to maximize his players on the pitch.

While there are offensive superstars such as Benzema leading the charge, having Jovic as a consistent performer adds more depth for Real Madrid.

The organization has won the Champions League multiple times under Zidane’s leadership before and they’re looking to do the same moving forward. With players such as Jovic willing to step up when needed, Real Madrid is looking to add more titles in years to come.
