Liverpool trio Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold have all been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award.

Unsurprisingly, the list is chock full of Reds stars after they steamrolled to their first top-flight title in 30 years.

Henderson, who has already won the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year prize, is a front-runner for the award, with Man City’s Kevin de Bruyne also in contention for the top individual gong.

De Bruyne, who is the only City nominee, had a phenomenal campaign where he assisted a record-equalling 20 goals – level with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Leicester ace and Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy also makes the shortlist after his 23 goals steered the Foxes to a fifth-place finish.

While Southampton striker Danny Ings also received a nomination for his superb 22 strikes this season.

The final nominee is Nick Pope, who played in every minute of Burnley’s campaign and earned 15 clean sheets – second only to Golden Glove winner Ederson.

Meanwhile, the Young Player of the Year nominees have also been released, with the most notable absentee Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka, who has enjoyed a superb breakthrough campaign.

This category is full of Manchester United youngsters, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood among the eight players nominated.

The Red Devils trio scored 44 league goals between them to help United to third place in the table and a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic have also made the shortlist with both players crucial to the Blues’ top-four finish.

Finally, the Manager of the Year shortlist has also been released, with Jurgen Klopp the obvious favourite to claim the award.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has been given a nomination for his brilliant effort in guiding Chelsea to a top-four spot, despite spending nothing in the transfer market and talisman Eden Hazard moving to Real Madrid.

Chris Wilder has also been nominated after leading the Blades to ninth in the Premier League on their superb return to the top-flight.

While Brendan Rodgers was named as the final nominee after steering the Foxes into the Europa League.

The shortlist for the Goal of the Season has also been announced, with Tottenham’s Son Heung-min a front-runner to claim the feat.

Picking up the ball just outside our area, the South Korean forward left six Burnley players in his wake in an 80-yard dash to goal, skipped past the final tackle from Erik Pieters before composing himself to slot past Nick Pope.

Son goes up against Harvey Barnes (Leicester v Sheffield United), Moussa Djenepo (Southampton v Sheffield United), Matt Longstaff (Newcastle v United), Alireza Jahanbakhsh (Brighton v Chelsea), Matej Vydra (Burnley v Southampton), Bruno Fernandes (United v Brighton) and Kevin de Bruyne (City v Norwich) for the prize.
