Philippe Coutinho's agent insists there have been no discussions with Chelsea regarding a transfer from Barcelona, but hinted that a move could occur in the future.

Coutinho joined the Catalan side from Liverpool in a £142million deal back in January 2018, but the playmaker has largely failed to live up to expectations in LaLiga.

The Blues have now reportedly targeted the 27-year-old as a summer signing as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his options in attacking midfield.

It was widely reported that Coutinho would head back to the Premier League following his loan spell at Bayern Munich after the Bundesliga giants declined to take up the option to sign the Brazilian permanently.

Agent Kia Joorabchian says there have been no concrete offers for his client, although he refused to rule out a transfer once the dust has settled following the coronavirus pandemic.

"At the moment, we have not spoken to anybody about any deals whatsoever," he told talkSPORT.

"I think at the moment everyone’s concentration is regarding this pandemic and how football can restart the season in a secure environment and over the health and safety of everybody.

"I think the transfer side of things and where he will go or where people will go will come into play down the line when things have got back to some sort of normality."

Chelsea have already made one signing ahead of the 2020/21 campaign after agreeing a deal to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax back in February.
