Celtic Reportedly eyeing move for Reading winger Michael Olise

Michael Olise of Reading takes on Matty Virtue of Blackpool during the FA Cup Third Round Replay match between Blackpool and Reading at Bloomfield Road on January 14, 2020 in Blackpool, England.

SPFL Champions Celtic are weighing up a transfer move for Reading winger Michael Olise, according to the Daily Mail.

The 18-year-old is highly-rated at the Madejski Stadium and has made 14 appearances for the Royals senior team since breaking through from their academy.

Olise, who has impressive dribbling ability and an eye for pass is supposedly being placed on a list of transfer targets for Neil Lennon and Celtic, as they look to add some fresh impetus into their side.

The midfielder who can operate in an array of attack midfield roles initially spent spells at Chelsea and Man City’s academies before rocking up at Reading, and his several displays for the Berkshire club this season have been enough to prompt interest from Celtic.

As of yet it is uncertain as to whether Mark Bowen and Reading will be keen to let the young talent depart the club, though this has not stopped interest growing in the player.

Olise is a France under-18 international and has provided one assist for the Royals this season, as the club look set for a mid-table finish in the Championship.
