Serbia striker Prijovic arrested for breaking coronavirus curfew

Serbia and Ex-Derby County striker Aleksandar Prijovic has been arrested and given three-months' home detention for breaking a coronavirus curfew in Belgrade, it is being reported.

The 29-year-old Serbian international, who plays for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, was arrested along with 19 others for gathering at a hotel lobby bar in Belgrade on Friday, according to Associated Press.

Serbia has a 5pm to 5am lockdown order in place in an attempt to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prijovic joined Derby as an 18-year-old on a two-year contract in 2008 after rejecting a new deal at Italian club Parma, but he did not manage to play a first-team game for the Rams.
