Brendan Rodgers admitted he loves Celtics amid link to Aston Villa

Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is loving every second of his time at Celtic amid Aston Villa speculation. According to Report, Aston Villa are searching for a replacement for Steve Bruce, who was sacked following a troublesome start to the new Championship campaign.

Bruce, who has a good record of getting teams out of the Championship and into the Premier League, has left Villa in 15th place, having won just three of their opening 11 games. Aston villa lost away from home at the weekend following Bruce's dismissal, falling to a 2-1 defeat away at Millwall. The latest loss leaves them on just 15 points from 12 games, winning three, drawing six, and losing three.

Brendan Rodgers was asked about the Aston Villa rumours and said:
“I have been linked with a number of things and I am sure that when clubs need a manager there is always a raft of names mentioned. It is a huge club, a Premier League club, great facilities as I said it before when John McGinn (Celtic target) was going. Brilliant support base, big history, but I am sure they will know who they want to go in there. I have a great job here, a very exciting challenge this season and I am loving every second of it. So yeah, you can’t rule me out because I have never been asked.”
