Real Madrid has announced the return of Mariano Diaz to Bernabeu as new no.7

Real madrid has announced the return of their former striker Mariano diaz back to Bernabeu. The striker has been in Real madrid before moving to Lyon, and he’s very excited about his return, as the new no. 7, Mariano has signed a five 5 year deal with Real Madrid.





Mariano played thrice for Lyon this season, not scoring, but bagged 21 with seven assists in 45 appearances last season. He made his debut  in the first game of the Ligue 1 season against RC Strasbourg Alsace , scoring twice in a 4–0 home win.




He cost Lyon around $10 million last summer. No fee has been reported for this deal. Mariano was capped by the Dominican Republic in 2013 and scored in his lone match, but has since shelved his tenure with the CONCACAF side in order to leave himself available to Spain.
