Di Maria believes that PSG needs to take a crucial steps to get them closer to winning the Champions League after falling again in the last 16.
On 15 September, Di María scored his first goal for PSG on his UEFA Champions League debut for the club, a 2–0 win over MalmoFF at the Parc des Princes.Seven days later, he registered his first goal in Ligue 1 as PSG defeated Guingamp 3–0. On 23 April 2016, Di María scored the winning goal for PSG in the 2016 Coupe de la Ligue Final against Lille at the Stade de France.
The star player expects there should be a turn around at Paris Saint-Germain following their failure to get beyond the last 16 in the Champions League this season.
The Ligue 1 giants were beaten 5-2 on aggregate by holders Real Madrid in the first knockout phase, losing 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu before a 2-1 home defeat in the second leg.
