Borussia Dortmund are not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo, despite rumours linking the Portuguese international with a move to the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo is being linked with a shock move to Borussia Dortmund. According to both CBS Sports and BILD, Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has offered the Manchester United forward to the Black and Yellows. But the German tabloid adds that the BVB bosses have no interest in signing him.

At 37, Ronaldo is viewed as being too old by Borussia Dortmund. Plus, his salary at Manchester United is more than double of what the highest paid BVB players make.

Borussia Dortmund have also found their short-term replacement for Sebastien Haller in Anthony Modeste. So there is no chance of Ronaldo moving to the Signal Iduna Park.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner joined Manchester United from Juventus last summer and scored 24 goals in 39 appearances for them. But United could only manage a sixth place finish in the English Premier League, and failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League as a result.

Ronaldo is looking to leave Manchester United in search of UEFA Champions League football. He has been linked with a number of big clubs in recent weeks, including Bayern Munich and Chelsea. But it still remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Borussia Dortmund’s transfer business for this summer appears to be largely complete. The BVB bosses have made a big splash in the transfer market, bringing in a number of big names to revamp their squad.
