Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has admitted that he wants to spend the rest of his career at Old Trafford. The Red Devils fans have not had much to cheer about in the last five years with the club, as United have mostly underachieving on the field.
“For me, I never look beyond Manchester United,” Rashford is quoted as saying by Goal.
“As a kid, I never looked beyond Manchester United. In my mind, it wouldn’t sit right for me to be pulling on another shirt. I just want to do my best for the club while I’m here. Long term, hopefully.”
Rashford has been affiliated to the Red Devils since he was just seven and was fully introduced into the first team in 2016 when he was just 18. Despite still being 23-years-old, he is highly experienced with almost 250 appearances under his belt.
In addition to his brilliance on the field, he has also been praised for the charity work that he has been doing outside of football.
Some have suggested that Rashford should look for a new challenge in order to take his career to the next level. United have struggled to achieve consistency since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 and they look unlikely to challenge for the Premier League or Champions League in the near future.
If Rashford makes himself available for transfer, there is little doubt that he will attract offers from top clubs across Europe.
