Bayern Munich are interested in Hertha Berlin’s young starlet Jessic Ngankam, according to a report from Sport1.

The striker is out of contract this summer but has yet to sign a new one with the capital club, and Bayern are one of a handful of clubs after the talented youngster.

Ngankam made his Bundesliga debut on Saturday for Hertha, coming on late in the match for an eleven minute appearance.

Hertha beat Hoffenheim 3-0 to move eight points clear of the relegation zone. These were his first minutes this season outside of the Regionalliga Nordost.

In addition to Bayern, Sport1 says that Borussia Monchengladbach, Augsburg, Nurnberg, St. Pauli, and RB Leipzig have expressed interest in Ngankam.

Hertha are desperate to re-sign him, hoping that this weekend’s minutes in the Bundesliga will convince Ngankam that his future in Hertha is bright.
