Jadon Sancho on target as Dortmund defeat Paderborn

Jadon Sancho scored a second-half hat-trick as second-placed Borussia Dortmund cut the gap on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich to seven points.

Thorgan Hazard was pushed upfront after Erling Haaland was ruled out by a knee injury and the Belgian opened the scoring in the 54th minute.

Sancho doubled their lead three minutes later before Uwe Hunemeier scored from the penalty spot for Paderborn in the 72nd minute.

Sancho's cool finish two minutes later restored their two-goal advantage.

Achraf Hakimi and Marcel Schmelzer were on target before Sancho sealed victory.
