Dortmund captain Marco Reus urge Jadon Sancho to Reject Man United move

Dortmund's Norwegian forward Erling Braut Haaland (R) celebrate scoring the 4-1 goal with his teammates Dortmund's German forward Marco Reus (L) and Dortmund's English midfielder Jadon Sancho (C) during the German first division Bundesliga football match Borussia Dortmund v FC Cologne in Dortmund, on January 24, 2020.

Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus believes Jadon Sancho should reject the chance to move to Manchester United and stay with the Bundesliga outfit.

The England international has been heavily linked with a return to his homeland with his good form attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides, with United believed to be leading the race for the 20-year-old.

However, Sancho should stay in Germany for at least one of more season, or at least that's the opinion of teammate Reus.

"Jadon is an outstanding player and will definitely remain in demand by many clubs. That is a fact. He's now playing at an even higher level than last year and would be extremely valuable in achieving our goals," Reus said in an interview with Sport Bild via Bulinews.

"I would advise him to stay at BVB for another year, maybe two. From my point of view, there is no better place for him at the moment. Afterwards, he can take the really big step as an even more complete player, having developed further in peace here as a regular starter.

"He would have to find his place at a new club, which isn't always easy for a 20-year-old. Just how interesting do you think Jadon will be for the biggest clubs if he spends one, two or three years more here to develop further?"
