Bayern Munich thrash Wolfsburg 6-0 to top German Bundesliga on goal difference as long-time leader struggle to grab a 3-1 home win over Stuttgart.

Dortmund had been at the top of the table since matchday six but run of just one win in their previous five league games has allowed Bayern to claim nine-point gap.

Hoffenheim welcome bottom side Nuremberg and second-bottom Hanover entertain Bayer Leverkusen in Sunday’s fixtures, with Fortuna Dusseldorf against fifth- placed Eintracht Frankfurt following on Monday.
