World Cup 2018| France vs Uruguay

France will face Uruguay in the quarter final of 2018 World cup On Friday 6 July, 15:00 GMT at Nizhny Novgorod Stadium. This will be an incredible tight match, but France are likely to see much more of the ball while Uruguay stand firm at the back. There’s no reason why Uruguay cannot get a goal or two on the break, but the constant French pressure will tell in the end and send them through to the last four.
In the absence of Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani who  suffers a calf injury in the victory over Portugal in the round of 16, a big  responsibility falls on Luis Suarez to make the most of any goal chance that comes Uruguay’s way. He’ll be up against familiar La Liga rivals in the centre-half pairing of Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and his own Barcelona clubmate Samuel Umtiti. Uruguay have conceded just one goal on their run to the last eight, while  France progressed from a seven-goal thriller after with Argentina.
