ALEX CHAMBERLAIN SUFFERS KNEE INJURY DURING LIVERPOOL CLASH WITH ROMA IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was forced out on Tuesday night’s Champions League match with Roma after just 18 minutes due to a bad injury
in a challenge with Aleksandar Kolarov.
The injury looked incredibly worrisome as it took medicals several minutes to help the midfielder leave the pitch.
Liverpool gave updates on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s injury, and it’s not looking positive.
Liverpool will send him for a scan within the next 48 hours to assess the full extent of the damage, but an absence lasting weeks at this stage of the campaign will severely harm the 24-year-old’s chances of going to the World Cup in Russia as part of Gareth Southgate’s squad.
This injury may cause Oxlade-Chamberlain to miss out a place in the England World Cup squad For the record, all nations need to declare their World Cup squads by June 4.
